Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I know which "stock" is right for me? What are the stocks?
- Stocks are the substrate that we will be printing on. Different stocks are available depending on which product you are ordering. Unless you specify, white vinyl with lamination will be the default for a roll sticker order, white vinyl with UV varnish will be the default for full color roll stickers.
- Available stocks:
-
Standard
- White Matte Paper - The ideal choice if you need a sticker or label that you can print or type on. Perfect choice for shipping labels. Not for outdoor use.
- White Gloss Paper - The same paper as the white matte, but with a lustrous, gloss finish. This stock can be written on with Sharpie's markers, but not ball point or rollerball pens. Not for outdoor use.
Premium
- Silver and Gold Foil - These stocks have a mirror finish. These do not have lamination on them and are not recommended for outdoor use.
- Clear Polypropylene - This is a 2-mil clear film stock. Very similar to vinyl but without lamination. Not recommended for outdoor use.
- White Vinyl with lamination - Our most popular stock. This is a durable, weather resistant stock with a 1-mil poly film lamination for the highest possible gloss and durability. This is the default stock for roll sticker orders, unless you specify otherwise.
- Clear Vinyl with lamination - This is a durable, weather resistant stock with a 1-mil lamination for the highest possible gloss and durability. The stock appears almost crystal clear. Adhesive is available on either the face side or back side of the label.
- White Vinyl with UV varnish - This is a durable, weather resistant stock. UV varnish is a solvent based coating that will give your labels a semi-gloss finish. Although this is a very durable stock, it is not as durable as white vinyl with lamination. This is the default stock for full color roll sticker orders, unless you specify otherwise.
