Quality Assurance - Cleveland

Job Summary

Assures that products, processes, and systems conform within Jakprints quality standards.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Perform series of quality assurance checkpoints

  • Last set of eyes to see product before it gets to the customer

  • Notify press team & supervisor of quality issues

  • Assist in finishing responsibilities (i.e. folding shirts, poly-bagging, hang-tagging, shipping, fulfillment, etc)

  • Responsible for accurately shipping product to customers per order specifications

Key Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Prior quality control/assurance experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Problem solving skills required

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to assist in training

  • Basic computer skills required

Pay Rate - $9.00/hr (1st shift) $9.50/hr (2nd shift)

Schedule – 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm M-F / 2nd shift 2:30pm-10pm M-T 2:30-8:00pm F

Heidelberg Press Operator

3rd Shift

Jakprints is currently seeking an experienced, quality conscious Heidelberg Press Operator for our 3rd shift.  They would be responsible for the sole set-up, maintenance, operation, and cleanup of our state of the art Heidelberg press.

Overview of Responsibilities  

  • Manage all routine tasks related to press operation

  • Responsible for producing a high quality product; including, determining quantity, stock specifications, colors, special printing instructions, adjusting press to varying thickness and sizes.

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve on equipment as needed

  • Properly performs required preventative maintenance, as well as cleaning of press.

  • Performs job duties in accordance with company safety rules.

Key Competencies

  • Three years minimum of head press experience on a 5+ color press (Heidelberg experience preferred)

  • In depth knowledge of the mechanics and capabilities of press.

  • Able to accurately distinguish color variation.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly throughout your shift

  • Requires experience running, troubleshooting, and quality control.

  • Detail oriented, math skills, etc.

Pay Rate will vary based on skill set

Schedule 3rd Shift, 10pm-6:30am Monday through Friday

Zund Operator

Job Summary

Sets up, programs, and operates cutting machine according to specifications of work orders.

Overview of Responsibilities  

  • Review the schedule of jobs and plan work process to ensure meeting customer specifications.

  • Operates Zund machine to produce custom shape and cut vinyl products.

  • Examines products for quality, and makes adjustments as needed.

  • Remove finished or pre-finished material from cutter for next operation.

  • Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance on cutter machines, including cleaning, changing blades, and vacuuming of belts.

  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain housekeeping standards. Adhere to recycling program.

  • Assist in other finishing operations as needed.

Key Competencies

  • Previous Zund, Esko, plotter, and die cutting experience a plus!

  • Must know basic math and how to use a ruler.

  • Must have basic computer knowledge.

  • Exceptional problem solving skills.

  • General knowledge of bindery/finishing a plus!

  • Must be mechanically inclined.

  • Must be able to list up to 60 lbs.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and deadline driven.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills.

  • Reliability and dependability.

  • Able to manage stress.

Embroidery Machine Operator (Seasonal)

Job Summary

Operate multi-head commercial embroidery machines; including but not limited to hooping a variety of garments, choosing correct thread and stabilizers for each job to ensure that the highest quality is achieved.

Overview of Responsibilities  

  • Operate basic functions on Tajima embroidery machines.

  • Hoop and load a variety of garment styles.

  • Determine placement, color, size, stitching, etc.

  • Complete a daily production list supplied by Manager.

  • Inspect final product for quality.

  • Fold, package, and box final product for shipping.

  • Perform cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines.

Key Competencies

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Multitasking.

  • Previous experience with embroidery or sewing is a plus.

  • Detail oriented and deadline driven.

  • Quality eye.

  • Basic Knowledge of computer

Schedule – 8:30am-5pm M-F or 2:30pm - 10pm M-F
